I.ÌýGeneral Statement. No student shall on the basis of sex,Ìýsexual orientation, gender or gender identity be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity in a manner which violates federal or state law, or District policies or rules.Ìý
II.ÌýAppointment of Title IX Coordinator. The Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, or his or her designee, shall serve as the District's Title IX Coordinator. The Title IX Coordinator shall be responsible for investigating any complaints under Title IX and the Nebraska Equal Opportunity in Education Act, and for coordinating the grievance procedures for students complaining of a violation of this Rule.Ìý
III.ÌýComplaints and Grievances. Complaints by students or parents regarding discrimination or unlawfulÌýharassment (excluding sexual harassment)Ìýshall follow the procedures of District Rule 5010.2.ÌýComplaintsÌýregarding sexual harassment shall follow the procedures of District Rule 5010.3.Ìý
